Development axis

The development axes are geographical spaces that concentrate a significant flow of people and goods both inside and outside, because of the interconnection of transport and communication networks that it offers, in addition to presenting a high density of economic activities compared to neighboring regions, in order to take advantage of the benefits offered by these networks. The fact that the transport infrastructures in these areas are focused not only on internal development but also on facilitating the connection with other axes means that these geographcal spaces frequently appear in the shape of a longitudinal axis, this being the characteristic that ultimately names this kind of spaces.
